Blood testing: what and where?

by A.W.
(Miami)

Q What sort of blood testing recommended and how do I find an appropriate provider?

A Great question Anna, You can check the local phone book or go online and search for a natural health practitioner or elightened medical doctor and contact them to see if they offer blood testing. You could contact the hippocrates health institute and see if they would recommend anyone in your area.

I'll list a few tests I think are important, however after meeting with you your health practitioner may suggest other tests.

Here's my list:
cortisol (a stress marker)
thyroid hormones
estrogen
testosterone
dhea
fasting insulin
crp (marker of inflammation)
vitamin D
B vitamins particularly B-12
vitamin C
homocystteine
hemoglobin alc
magnesium
essential fatty acids
