Can tomato sauce be altered to make it a warming food?

Q Can tomato sauce be altered to make it a warming food?

A Yes! You can add warming spices or herbs to your raw tomato sauce. I often add ginger and hot peppers to my tomato recipes. That gives them a little zing and you get the benefits of the warming in those colder months.

Rosemary, cumin, watercress or chives would also provide warming properties. Look at the list of warming foods on the website to see what other ideas you might like top try.
