Q What are the best fruit and vegetable combinations for improving kidney function?
A I need to make it clear I’m not a medical professional and can’t make recommendations for treating diseases, but if I had kidney issues I think I would juice a variety of fruits and vegetables, particularly those listed below.
Apples
Berries
Grapes
Watermelon (rind and all)
Whole lemon
Cucumber
Carrots
Celery
Parsley
Leafy greens
Cruciferous vegetables
Juicing and eating a plant centered diet, while avoiding animal products is advice I have often heard from health care professionals. Appropriate exercise and plenty of fresh air are good for the blood and what’s good for the blood is good for the kidneys.
