This was very tasty. I cannot wait to make it again and for the wife.

This recipe does not disappoint. I'm not a fan of celery, so I only added one stalk. It also kept down the earthy taste. I have tried quite a few of these recipes, and they are delicious.

If you don't want to waste the pulp... by: bdsweetie21
I make a juice similar to this just without the parsley and ginger (however I am going to try adding them the next time I make a batch), and I use the pulp that is left over to make crackers. I take about 3C of pulp and add 3/4C flaxseed meal, and 1/4C spelt wheat flour, mix it all up, press flat onto a lined baking sheet, bake @ 350F for 35min, then cut up/flip over and bake at 250F for 35min or till crunchy. I do this so that I do not waste the pulp, and so that I have a crunchy something to eat during the day between juices. They are tasty plain, dipped in hummus, or seasoned (mix seasoning into the dough before baking--you can use whatever seasoning you like: ranch/taco/steak seasoning packets etc, or a recipe of your own). It makes about 11.5 servings of 9 crackers; when made plain, each serving is about 60cals, 8carbs, 2fat, 2protein, 2sodium, 2sugar, 5fiber.

filtering froth by: Anonymous
I was wondering about the froth on top of the juice, I find it to be bitter, will I loose the value by filtering off the froth?
Hugh's reply*** No you can spoon it off or filter it . Should not be too much of it so you shouldn't lose too much nutrition.

Perfect! by: Anonymous
This is easy to drink and makes for a great evening drink. If you are only looking for one serving you need to cut this in 1/2 as it makes a large amount of juice.

Switched it up a little by: Melissa
I can't have apple so I substituted 3 pears and about a cup of blackberries. (The blackberries jammed up my Hurom juicer a little, had to put it in reverse a couple times, dont think it liked the seeds) I also cut back on the ginger as others recommended. Turned out pretty good. It does make A LOT of juice. Mine made around 8 cups! I've been drinking it for a couple days but the flavor changes after the first day.

Less ginger by: Anonymous
Was tasty but I agree with the other post, less ginger root and it makes quite a lot. Will cut the ginger to 1/4 and cut the rest of the recipe in half.

good but ginger over powered the drink by: Anonymous
Next time I think will use less ginger root. Kinda overwhelmed the juice.
