Cranberry Pumpkin Surprise is totally a super food! This only makes about 4 cups, and it is pretty good, so you might want more than one pumpkin can do. You could use a jack-o-lantern pumpkin but add more apple or carrot because they are not nearly as sweet as the smaller pie pumpkins.
10 oz fresh whole cranberries
1 (mostly peeled) small pie pumpkin
1 red apple
1 carrot
lots of ginger root
My machine can handle small pieces of rind so I did use some. It doesn’t seem to add anything as far as flavor though, although it might add more nutritional value.
Save the seeds from all your pumpkins! Wash them, dry them and roast them in your oven on very low temperature setting or in your dehydrator. It’s quick and easy and stands high on the list of super foods!

Pumpkin or Squash
I think any pumpkin, or squash could be used if you take into account the sweetness of each so that you can adjust the carrots and or apple quantities so you still have a palatable juice.
This juice surely has a very autumnal flair to it with all the ingredients readily available at that time. Fresh cranberries are only available for a short time in during the fall months and are full of super nutrients. They’re not very palatable by themselves so a juice recipe like this is perfect for incorporating them into your diet.
This juice recipe would also make a really awesome smoothie recipe. Instead of juicing throw everything in your high speed blender for a holiday soup or smoothie.
