Q I'm a very active person in general (gym and club sports). I'm also a rising sophomore in college. (170 lbs 6'1 8-10% body fat ).
I'm very interested in the veggie and fruit juicing diet. I've taken some recipes down already and can't wait to start however I'm concerned about my protein intake.
I consume protein rich foods daily and I don't know how my body will react if I suddenly (drastically) switch my diet?
My eventual goal is to become less than 1% body fat while keeping the muscle mass I have on me.
A Greens are loaded with protein and a balanced raw diet can provide ample protein even for active athletes in their prime. I assume you’ll be eating some solid foods at some point and then you’ll have a wider variety of protein choices.
As for 1% body fat I don’t think that’s even possible and certainly not healthy. 8-10% body fat sounds pretty good to me really. I think body builders get down to 6% or so, but I could be wrong about that.
The two links below give additional information on the protein subject.
