This Strawberry with Fennel & Celery juice was delightful. The fennel root really gives it a subtle nuance of flavors and the celery provides the ever important electrolytes.
Usually I would not juice strawberries as they're so naturally soft and juicy, but I got a great deal on a flat of fresh berries at the farmers market this morning and needed to get busy on them. So I incorporated some into my juice for lunch today and I’ll have a strawberry, banana, and romaine smoothie in the morning. Repeat that for a couple of days and that will be the end of that flat of berries.
1 ½ baskets of fresh strawberries
½ bulb of fennel
4 or 5 large stalks of celery
½ lemon with rind
This juice ends up being very creamy because of the way strawberries juice, with hardly any pulp, so the berries are more blended than juiced. But very tasty. Would make great popsicles. Makes about 28 oz. of juice. Enjoy!
