Raw Vegan Recipes

Raw Vegan Recipes are easy for the body to breakdown, digest, and to assimilate their wide variety of life giving nutrients. They nurture the human body while showing enormous respect for the animal kingdom and the planet. People like Gandhi, Leonardo De Vinci, Woody Harrelson, and Carl Lewis have all touted the health, social, and planetary benefits of consuming a vegan diet so we’re in pretty good company when we’re following a raw vegan diet.

People choose to follow a raw vegan diet for many reasons, including health, environmental, and animal rights issues. Sometimes a vegan diet is thought of as a wimpy diet for skinny people, but people in the know realize its powerful benefits. Health, fitness, clarity of mind, better sexual function in middle aged and mature people, etc.. Many top level athletes are choosing the vegan diet because it cuts their recovery time and builds lean muscle mass of the highest quality. Vegan athletes have taken the sports world by storm and setting the bar for others to follow. It seems to be a naturally evolving diet for humans that’s good for the planet and kind to all other beings.

I’m a big believer in the notion that raw vegan recipes need not be time consuming in either their preparation or cleanup. Raw recipes can be so easy, with quick prep and hardly any clean up at all. A healthy raw meal is literally seconds away in the well stocked kitchen. Most of the recipes on my site are quick and easy to prepare, with limited cleanup.

There is such a wide variety of fruits, vegetables, sprouts, sea vegetables and nuts and seeds that the recipe ideas are endless, and by consuming a wide variety you’re ensured of getting a complete and well balanced nutrient profile. If you enjoy gardening you can grow the freshest nutrient dense foods for your raw vegan diet. A quick look at the garden can give you multiple ideas for meals. You’ll discover your own favorites as you put together new healthy recipes, and perhaps try to transform some of your old favorites into raw recipes. Many times I get ideas for meals as I’m walking through the farmers market. I might be drawn to a particular food like fresh corn or okra, that stimulates my mind and before long I have an idea for a great meal.

So let’s take a look at some tasty raw vegan recipes.
